What to do if an insured event

If there was an accident, the first - try to be calm, the second - do all the recommended steps, depending on the type of insurance and circumstances. Try to get the necessary documents, depending on the event.


When an event occurs that has signs of insurance:


Duty to inform the insurance company no later than two working days;


Take immediate action to rescue and prevent further damage to insured property, as well as to ensure the right of claim to the guilty party; to keep the damaged property (unless it is contrary to the interests of safety or harm reduction) to the inspection of representatives of competent authorities and the Insurer; immediately report the incident to the competent authorities:


  • OGPS - in case of fire and explosion of domestic gas;
  • ATS - if unlawful actions of third parties;
  • housing and maintenance services - water-bearing systems in case of accidents, etc.);

within two working days after the onset of losses to report them to the Insurer and give him the opportunity to inspect the damaged property to determine the causes and the amount of loss for the preparation of the insurance act and determine the amount of indemnity;


Insurer to give written notice of the insured event, and other documents (including certificates from the competent authorities) necessary for judgment on the causes and extent of damages incurred by the Insured


Documents from the competent authorities are:


in case of fire, gas explosion - copies of the decisions of the State Fire and / or emergency services (including the conclusion of the fire-and gas-technical and technical expertise, if any);

and failures of water supply, heating, sanitation, water intrusion from neighboring premises, falling trees, aircraft and their fragments - acts, the conclusion of emergency technical and other specialized services;
for illegal acts of third parties - the conclusion of law enforcement and investigative agencies.

notify the insurer of the receipt of the (possible receiving) cash compensation from the perpetrator of damage to the face.
